How to get the most out of an online e-commerce shopping application

Using Your Shopping Cart

Effectively When you go to your favorite grocery store, little is more annoying than getting a shopping cart with wobbly wheels and one that squeaks like a laughing hyena. Such an occurrence really puts a damper on the entire shopping experience. The same can be said for online shopping carts. If they are clunky and lacking in functionality, the entire shopping experience is cheapened to the point that all but your most loyal of customers will go elsewhere. Consider the following ways to use your ecommerce shopping cart software more effectively and gain customers as a result.

Provide Vivid Descriptions and Pictures

If your site contains few to no pictures, it will be difficult to convince consumers to take you very seriously. Consumers want to see what they are purchasing. Since it is not possible to feel the physical merchandise being offered online, pictures are the next best thing. Your shopping cart should contained vivid descriptions and digital quality pictures that encapsulate the true essence of what it is that you are selling. If you can do that right within your shopping cart, visitors will just need to click a simple button to add it to the cart. It really is that simple, and then you will see your sales increase as a result.

Make Payment a Snap

Imagine filling your cart up in the grocery store only to get to the checkout line and find no cashiers available to help you. Perhaps they are all on break or they just did not show up for work. Whatever the reason, you will be tempted to leave the store without your items given the level of frustration that you feel. Likewise, your online customers will leave a full online cart of items without paying for them if you do not provide them with an easy checkout option. This means that you need to have a payment channel that is simple to use and does not require a lot of time. The quicker and more seamless you can make the process, the better off you will be in the end.

Integrate the Cart Into the Site Itself

Visitors to your site need to be able to find the shopping cart easily, no matter what page they might navigate to. The best way to do this is to make sure the software that you use actually integrates the cart right into the website itself. This will enable the consumer to click on the cart at any time and see what they have put in there. This should be easily updated so that visitors can change the quantity ordered on the go, as well as delete any items that are no longer needed. Again, the key here is to make this entire process as easy as possible. Do not make consumers go to a third party website in order to checkout. It is not professional and will cost you customers in the long run. These are just four of the many ways that you can use an online shopping cart to your advantage. Remember that the key is to make the cart functional and easy to use. This is a tool that you have at your disposal as a business owner, so make sure that you use it wisely. If you do, your business will almost certainly grow as a result.

Agents Make a Gruesome Discovery After X-Raying Duffle Bag of Couple Trying to Cross Border

Last week, authorities happened upon a gruesome find at the U.S.-Mexico border.

Reports claim a man and woman were on their way to Tijuana, Mexico, on foot, and tried to cross the border through a pedestrian lane.

When police stopped them, 43-year-old Mercy Mary Becerra tried to run away.

Then police put a duffel bag belonging to the man, 38-year-old Johnny Lewis Hartley, through an X-ray machine.

A toddler was found dead inside the bag.

The LA Times reports that the little girl, who police are calling Jane Doe, was likely drowned to death. The toddler was also said to be malnourished and dehydrated — all contributing factors to her death.

Becerra and her partner, Hartley, have pled not guilty to the single charge of murder.

Deputy District Attorney Kurt Mechals says that the pair are not the deceased child’s parents, but did know the parents. He claims he isn’t certain how the child, believed to be 2-years-old, drowned — but he thinks it was a “residential-type drowning,” and added that “there’s a lot of information we’re still gathering.”

According to Fox News, drug and gang related violence in Tijuana is on an upswing. Only a couple years ago, many were reporting a renewed interest in the border town as a tourist destination.

New fancy eateries were even opening up in the Baja-area city. However, stories of vicious gang-related violence have made many American tourists weary of traveling south of the border.

CBS Local spoke to the couple’s neighbor, who said:

“I can’t believe that, it’s just really sad,” said Henry Munoz. “That someone could do that.”

He said the couple lived in apartment 3 with a “number of children. Two twins, a couple of older ones. Four were in their teens.”

“There were a lot of kids there,” he said, “they had like eight kids.

If convicted, Becerra and Harley could face 25 years to life in prison.
