So forgive me, I hate what I perceive to be ignorance so today I had to respond to it. I received the following email in my inbox so here is how it went down.
EMAIL TO MY INBOX:
Feminist Majority Foundation – March on Washington
Dear Jen,
The Feminist Majority Foundation is proud to partner with the organizers of the Women’s March on Washington on Saturday, January 21. We are also partnering with sister marches in Los Angeles and San Francisco set to take place on the same day, Saturday, January 21.
Let us know if you are going to one of the marches and would like to march with us in our delegation!
The Women’s March on Washington will begin at 10:00 am EST at the intersection of Independence Avenue and Third St SW, near the U.S. Capitol on January 21, 2017, the day after Donald Trump’s inauguration.
The Los Angeles Women’s March will begin downtown at Pershing Square at 9:00 am PST and the San Francisco Women’s March will begin at the Civic Center at 4:00 pm PST.
Sign up today for FMF’s Women’s Marches Updates and on the ground volunteer opportunities.
Let us know if you plan on attending or are interested in volunteering to help the Feminist Majority Foundation. Volunteers will distribute signs and stickers, and facilitate our delegation.
The Women’s Marches will speak loud and clear about the need to move forward, not back, for women’s equality, reproductive rights and healthcare, racial justice, LGBTQ equality, non-violence, economic opportunity, and environmental justice. We must send a bold message that hatred and intolerance have no place in the United States.
We hope to see you there as we make history together.
For Equality,
Eleanor Smeal

And then It GOT REAL………………………
Eleanor,
I just took the time to read your email and I find it necessary to respond to this propaganda that is spreading hatred among our country and continues to divide us instead of bringing us together. This is a total disaster and I am referring to what you are organizing. Let me be clear, I am all about women’s leadership roles, women’s rights to education and equal pay. There are more productive ways to go about getting your point across. This behavior is demonstrating that people are just scorned from their candidate loosing with no real substance to why and let me explain.
I am a very educated woman and I have a high powered job. Matter a fact, I hold a primary job and have two secondary jobs and two children under ten years old as well. There is no excuse as to why women can not find a means to get assertive, put themselves through higher education and aggressively seek a position of their choice just as a man can. We live in a great country and are afforded these opportunities. Many countries look down upon the groups that you mentioned above; for example LGBTQ and Women.
Have you heard of middle eastern countries that support Sharia Law? Did you know that under the Clinton/Obama Administration our tax dollars supported these countries? So, Eleanor what you are doing (this is my perception since it is the day after TRUMP is put into office) is marching for a woman that was an aid in the financial support of Sharia Law which means that in certain countries the women can be killed for not obeying and the gay men can be killed by being thrown from roof tops for trying to be married. So, that would be a bit strange to me that you would be Marching against Trump if he goes against a administration that has financially supported these countries. Don’t you think?
I have actually blogged on this. So what I will do is copy and paste the blog and share your email on Facebook along with my response. This is a very ignorant email and you sent it to the wrong educated, Republican, Pro-Trump voter. I am embarrassed that a fellow woman lack so many facts. Please do your research before you create more issues in this country. Find a better way and earn respect if you want it.
Ps. Trump won the election in case you didn’t get the memo. Have a nice day.

Question: Obama Admistration why are you giving our tax dollars to countries that support Sharia’s law?

US Foreign aid/assistance for overseas in 2017
Peace and Security is one of the sub-categories? Then why are we giving millions to countries that follow Sharia law and punish gay marriage by death? So now we are going to look at each country and I am going to tell you how much money our Obama/Clinton administration would like to spend on these countries for this “peace and security” within the foreign assistence in 2017. Get ready for your jaws to drop.

According the article as follows, why are we even giving money to the following countries based on the atrocities of both the LGBT community and women????? When I first heard about Sharia’s law it was before I started getting interested in politics but I am still all about womens’ rights so people most definitly brought it to my attention so here you go as this applies to women and LGBT community rights and how we are viewed in their religion.
Sharia (shari’a), Islamic sharia, Islamic law (Arabic: شريعة (IPA: [ʃaˈriːʕa])) is the religious law governing the members of the Islamic faith. It is derived from the religious precepts of Islam, particularly the Quran and the Hadith.

Here are the 10 countries where homosexuality may be punishable by death;
1- Yemen: According to the 1994 penal code, married men can be sentenced to death by stoning for homosexual intercourse. Unmarried men face whipping or one year in prison. Women face up to seven years in prison. *****For 2017 Obama administration wants to give this country $55,000,884,000.
2-Iran: In accordance with sharia law, homosexual intercourse between men can be punished by death, and men can be flogged for lesser acts such as kissing. Women may be flogged. ***No funding allocation in 2017
3-Mauritania: Muslim men engaging in homosexual sex can be stoned to death, according to a 1984 law, though none have been executed so far. Women face prison. *****For 2017 Obama administration wants to give this country $3,084,000.
4-Nigeria: Federal law classifies homosexual behavior as a felony punishable by imprisonment, but several states have adopted sharia law and imposed a death penalty for men. A law signed in early January makes it illegal for gay people countrywide to hold a meeting or form clubs. *****For 2017 Obama administration wants to give this country $606,110,000.
5-Qatar: Sharia law in Qatar applies only to Muslims, who can be put to death for extramarital sex, regardless of sexual orientation. ***No funding allocation in 2017
6-Saudi Arabia: Under the country’s interpretation of sharia law, a married man engaging in sodomy or any non-Muslim who commits sodomy with a Muslim can be stoned to death. All sex outside of marriage is illegal. *****For 2017 Obama administration wants to give this country $10,000.
Afghanistan: The Afghan Penal Code does not refer to homosexual acts, but Article 130 of the Constitution allows recourse to be made to sharia law, which prohibits same-sex sexual activity in general. Afghanistan’s sharia law criminalizes same-sex sexual acts with a maximum of the death penalty. No known cases of death sentences have been meted out since the end of Taliban rule in 2001. *****For 2017 Obama administration wants to give this country $1,250,400,000.
Somalia: The penal code stipulates prison, but in some southern regions, Islamic courts have imposed sharia law and the death penalty. *****For 2017 Obama administration wants to give this country $196,270,000.
Sudan: Three-time offenders under the sodomy law can be put to death; first and second convictions result in flogging and imprisonment. Southern parts of the country have adopted more lenient laws. *****For 2017 Obama administration wants to give this country a total of $234,578,000 (South Sudan $225,166,000 and Sudan $9,412,000).
United Arab Emirates: Lawyers in the country and other experts disagree on whether federal law prescribes the death penalty for consensual homosexual sex or only for rape. In a recent Amnesty International report, the organization said it was not aware of any death sentences for homosexual acts. All sexual acts outside of marriage are banned. No funding
This is a total of $2,121,170,000 spent by the US from our tax dollars by our government to fund Sharia Law loving countries that commit atrocious acts of violence and commit murders on your communities and women. I wanted to let you know what I know because I was always taught to spread the knowledge because when you know, you make better decisions in the future. We all can make a decisions that lead to better outcomes with the right information. We are good people, all of us can look at each other at night and in the mirror and believe it.
