Medal of Honor Recipient Dakota Meyer Calls Out DNC-Goers Who Heckled War Heroes—Big Time

Marine veteran and Medal of Honor recipient Dakota Meyer appeared on “Fox & Friends” Saturday to discuss the jeering and heckling faced by veterans during the Democratic National Convention.

When Four-Star Gen. John Allen and Medal of Honor recipient Florent Groberg got up to speak at the DNC, alleged pro-Bernie Sanders protesters began to chant “No more war! No more war!” The protesters were outnumbered by other convention attendees, who cheered for the men.

On “Fox & Friends,” Meyer said that the jeering was “typical of what the modern liberals don’t understand.”

“You know what? It’s because of guys like Flo, and guys like General John Allen — they’ve done such an incredible job over the last twelve, thirteen, fourteen years of keeping the enemy off our grounds…”

Meyer then made the point:

“They want Black Lives Matter, or ‘these lives matter’… In America, all lives matter. To the enemy that those men have been fighting… no lives matter.”

When host Clayton Morris mentioned that the hecklers were likely Sanders supporters, Meyer laid into the Democrat Party, as a whole:

“At the end of the day, they’re at the DNC, so they’re Democratic supporters… I bet you anything that that wouldn’t have happened at the RNC.”

But that doesn’t mean the veteran didn’t have some choice words for GOP nominee Donald Trump.

In response to Trump claiming the military is weak, Meyer said:

“I think that’s why you see some of those military supporters going to that side. I mean, we’re not weak. He’s absolutely wrong. That’s the thing. If Donald Trump loses — he’s out focused on Ted Cruz, he’s still being an entertainer — at what point is he gonna turn around and start being a leader?

If Donald Trump loses this election, it’s because Donald Trump lost it himself.”

The current RealClearPolitics polling average has Hillary Clinton ahead by just over one percent.

Heroes Form ‘Human Chain’ to Save Woman from Flood Moments After Man is Swept Away

Editor’s note: the video below contains graphic language.

Historic Ellicott City, Maryland, was ravaged by a flash flood late Saturday night, destroying much of the picturesque downtown area.

A 35-year-old woman and a 38-year-old man were swept away by the storm, according to officials from Howard and Baltimore counties.

Locals shared images of the sheer devastation left behind by the flood waters:

But if it weren’t for the actions of a few brave people, another woman could have easily lost her life after the flood waters began to force her car down the street.

Sara Arditti’s husband, Dave Dempster, managed to capture an incredible moment in downtown Ellicott City as a woman was trapped in her car by rushing floodwaters.

Local heroes formed a human chain to rescue the woman from the rapidly rising water:

Just as the video begins, Jason Barnes can be seen being swept away by the sheer force of the water. Luckily, he was able to get up almost immediately and lead the human chain to the woman’s car.

Arditti described the heroic moment on her Facebook page:

“Unbelievable video shot by my husband Dave during the flood as he and several other men rescue a woman from her car floating down Main St right in front of our business, Still Life Gallery at about 8:30pm July 30th.

Dave was at the top of the human chain holding the next man’s hand and filming with the other. The man who got washed away was incredibly lucky.”

The two people killed by the storms have yet to be identified. It will be some time until Ellicott City returns to normal after the incredibly destructive storm.
