Hillary’s Campaign Manager Suggests Trump is a “Puppet” for Vladimir Putin

Hillary Clinton’s campaign manager says there are “real questions” about whether Donald Trump is a “puppet” for the Russians.

In an interview with ABC News, Robbie Mook blasted former Breitbart News CEO Stephen Bannon, now with Trump, for laundering “conspiracy theories,” white supremacy and sexism.

Then he cut to the subject he wanted, suggesting that Trump is a pawn for Vladimir Putin.

Partial transcript below, via ABC News:

“Paul Manafort has been pushed out, but that doesn’t mean that the Russians have been pushed out of this campaign,” Clinton campaign manager Robby Mook told ABC News’George Stephanopoulos on “This Week.”

“The hand of the Kremlin has been at work in this campaign for some time,” Mook added. “It’s clear that they are supporting Donald Trump. But we now need Donald Trump to explain to us the extent to which the hand of the Kremlin is at the core of his own campaign.”

Mook explained that there are a “web of financial interests” that Trump has not disclosed, which has led to “real questions being raised about whether Donald Trump himself is just a puppet for the Kremlin in this race.”

“Well, real questions are being raised about that,” Mook said. “Again, there’s a web of financial ties to the Russians that he refuses to disclose. We’ve seen over the past few weeks him parroting Vladimir Putin in his own remarks. We saw the Republican Party platform change. We saw Donald Trump talk about leaving NATO and leaving his Eastern European allies vulnerable to a Russian attack. There are a lot of questions here and we need Donald Trump to disclose all of his financial ties and whether his advisers are having meetings with the Kremlin.”

Left unsaid in his bashing of Manafort, of course, is that Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta faces an investigation of his own over ties to Ukraine and Russia.
