‘Walmart Workout’ Dad Breaks Down Talking About How His 300-lb Weight Loss Has Affected His Son

Pasquale “Pat” Brocco used to be known as “Fat Pat.” Not anymore, though.

Good Morning America” reports that three years ago, the 605-pound Arizona man had a ‘come to Jesus’ meeting with his doctor and found out that if he didn’t drop weight, he’d develop diabetes and heart disease. Dying prematurely was a real possibility.

Here’s what he looked like then:

So, Pat took the talk to heart.

Brocco threw out all of his unhealthy food and forced himself to walk to the local Walmart to buy healthy stuff. He did it for every meal — three times a day. Between that six mile trek each day and eating more healthfully, he lost 200 pounds.

And Brocco went from being “Fat Pat” to “Possible Pat”:

Yes I’m the Same man just a different outlook on life! I found what’s really important and that’s my health, I realized our health is our wealth! You want something bad enough you work your ass off to get it! It’s all about staying focused, never quitting, finding what motivates you, being dedicated and stay consistent on chasing your dreams. You do that until your dreams or no longer dreams they become reality! Never forget why or who your doing it for! Yes Indeed it is possible and never forget that!! On the left I was 605lbs over 53% bodyfat on my death bed with high blood pressure, pre diabetic and morbidly obese, on the right I’m 275lbs 10% BF and disease free! #transformationtuesday #nevergiveup #dedication #focus #workharder #weightloss #instafit #fitness #fitnessmotivation #fatlose #losingweight #gymlife #gymrat #gains #gymmotivation #beast #beastmode #fitnessfreak #teamlove @bigjeffheezy @indeed_iam

Once Pat was small enough to fit on the equipment, he hit the gym and lost even more weight. Look at that transformation:

I lost 330lbs without getting surgery just staying focus eating clean and working my ass off! It’s a process that won’t happen overnight but it can very well happen! This is progress over two years! sorry I don’t have a picture of my back from when I first started three years ago just know it was almost 150lbs heavier then the top left picture! Here’s a tip tho! First we have to start in our minds (meaning) we have to want to change and not just talk about it, really wanting it! We have to be willing to make sacrifices, willing to work hard, willing to do whatever it takes! It’s not just wanting to change we have to believe we can change, if anyone is going to believe in you start with yourself, don’t let your mind think anything else, don’t let your mind set limiting for you! We must do what’s necessary and what’s possible, stay consistent and never lose focus even if we fail just keep going and suddenly one day we’ll look up and were doing the impossible! There are no limitations we only set them in our minds, we can become who and what we want! This isn’t just a fitness post it can be applied to life! #motivation #motivationmonday #weightlossjourney #weightloss #weightlossmotivation #fat #fitness #fitnessmotivation #fitnessfreak #fitnessjourney #focus #gymmotivation #gymrat #gymlife #nodaysoff #limitless #followyourdreams #focus #fitfam #bigback #backday #bodybuilding #bodytransformation

He became a ‘beast’ at the gym and has lost more than 300 pounds:

Four things Hard Work, Dedication, Consistency, Belief! You must first believe it can be done. Then you must work hard to make it happen. You must stay dedicated, and even if you fail stay consistent! Failure is part of success, Not trying or quitting isn’t and will never get you any closer to your goals or dreams! It took me 3 years to reach my goals in that journey I failed multiple times! The only reason I reached my goals is because I never gave up, I stood consistent, I was dedicated, and most importantly I believed it was possible!! #stillinit #weightlossjourney #weightloss #goals #dedication #consistency #inspired #workharder #hardwork #focus #dreams #fatloss #transformation #bodybuilding #bodytransformation #instafit #gymlife #fitnessmotivation #fitnessjourney

GMA reports that this is what Rocco’s 605-pound self used to eat every day:

Box of cereal
1/2 gallon whole milk
1 package peanut butter cups
1 candy bar
12-inch meatball and cheese submarine sandwich
100 fast food chicken nuggets
1 fast food apple pie
1 fast food milkshake
2 liters soda
4 doughnuts

Now he’s lean and clean:

He says he continues his journey because of his namesake:

That face is enough to motivate him to stay in line:

Rocco just underwent surgery to remove 30 pounds of excess skin from his body.

As he puts it, it’s all about dedication: “The only reason I reached my goals is because I never gave up, I stood consistent, I was dedicated, and most importantly I believed it was possible!!”
